Accommodations for the conference are offered in two modalities:

• on-campus university residence
• off-campus local hotels
  
  

University Residence

Dormitory Style Rooms: Each dormitory-style house has three floors in which the rooms are divided into furnished basic single, and single rooms. All of the houses are equipped with a furnished lounge with a TV and microwave, bicycle storage area, study room, male and female washrooms, and a laundry facility. All rooms have a telephone, internet access, linen, pillow, towel, soap and cup. Each accommodation has the following in their room: single-sized bed, desk and desk chair, bookcase, bulletin board, closet with dresser and clothes bar. Single rooms are larger upgraded rooms than the Basic Single. In addition to the furniture listed above, all single rooms are furnished with a snack-size refrigerator and lounge chair and two walk in closets.

Apartment Complexes: are low rise, apartment-style complexes offering four bedroom apartments which are fully furnished complete with storage room, full kitchen, four-piece bath, telephone and internet and a powder room with certain units offering barrier-free access. For your comfort, these apartment units are air-conditioned. The laundry room is located in the common lounge on each floor.

Townhouse Accommodations: All units feature a main floor full size kitchen, living room, dining room and patio area. The second floor contains a four-piece bathroom and four bedrooms. Accessible townhouse units are all one level for ease of mobility featuring three main floor single bedrooms, kitchen, living room, dining room, and patio area. Barrier-free access is available upon request. There are telephones with internet connection in each bedroom, and one located in the dining room. Every unit is supplied with a vacuum, mop, bucket, broom, dustpan, and ironing board. Basic townhouses are not equipped with cooking amenities. The townhouse laundry rooms are located in a separate building in each phase.

Fully-equipped Apartments and Townhouses are available at an extra charge. These units include: television with basic cable, dishes, cutlery, coffee maker, toaster, kettle, cooking supplies and small appliances for meal preparation.

The townhouses and apartments are 4 bedroom units. You have the option of booking the entire UNIT, or booking a bedroom in the unit sharing the unit with 3 other delegates. Prices are in Canadian funds. Taxes are extra (5% gst and 5% accommodations tax). Payment can be made by cash, credit card (M/C or Visa), and interact.

Shuttle service from the Thunder Bay Airport to on-campus residence is available. You must request this at the time of booking.

Local Hotels

Blocks of rooms, at preferred rates, have been secured at local hotels listed below alphabetically. Room rates vary and start at $89.00/night. Individuals are to make their own reservations. The preferred rates are available up until May 25, 2008. A credit card is required to guarantee reservations. Please be sure to check with the individual hotel as to it's cancellation policy.
